What will it offer?
High quality learning that is valued by the sector will be the hallmark of the National Skills Academy for IT.
The Skills Academy will develop an online learning community that allows employers and training providers to share knowledge, learning and best-in-class training.
The Skills Academy's products and services will:
- provide employers of all sizes with easy access to quality-assured learning that meets their business needs and enhances staff development, recruitment and retention
- provide employers with easy access to Government subsidy to training where applicable
- create a common language for IT skills so that employers will know what a particular course or qualification is offering and how it matches their skills needs
- enable IT professionals to have their skills recognised through industry-backed certification encourage private training providers, employers, universities and colleges to join the Skills Academy’s network of licensed Academy Delivery Partners.
- provide access to a full range of IT training and education including bite sized courses, professional qualifications and apprenticeships
- identify and endorse high quality learning that is valued by the sector, thus encouraging education providers to develop new, relevant training solutions
