Richard Wilson

Director of IT Operations, Cable&Wireless Worldwide

Richard Wilson has been Director of IT Services and Operations at Cable&Wireless Worldwide since early 2009, responsible for the operations, support and maintenance of all IT services.  Richard has been at Cable and Wireless since 2005 and has previously held a variety of leadership roles in functions across the business including Strategy & Business Development, Product Management and Property and Facilities. 

He played a leading role in the acquisition of Energis 2005 and the integration of Thus in 2008.  Prior to C&W Worldwide, Richard worked for Analysys Consulting, a specialist telecommunications strategy consultant. Richard has a particular interest in building the skills to bridge the historical divide between business users of IT and the technical delivery teams, in order to develop the next generation of IT leaders
