Mobile devices are possibly the largest cause of data leaks in businesses today. Their very portability makes them both easy to lose and easy to steal. That means your businesses should be prepared for the moment when, not if, a device and the data it contains is lost. Lock down the disk

Often used in conjunction with the Trusted Platform Modules built into modern chipsets, whole disk encryption tools use a user’s passphrase to give the operating system access to the encrypted space. Products available include Symantec’s PGP Universal (which supports multiple operating systems) and Microsoft’s BitLocker (built into enterprise editions of Windows Vista and Windows 7).
