User interfaces – what software developers can learn from the games industry

There are many types of computer-related user interfaces in this world, but the three that we probably all identify with most are the screen, the keyboard and the mouse. The interface’s job is to convey the operational decisions of the user to the computer so the machine can process the request. In the case of personal computers, the screen plays the role of the ‘graphical’ user interface to display a representation of the results (or output) of the computer processing that has been carried out.
